Overview
The gymnastics competitions at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro were held at the HSBC Arena and the Rio Olympic Arena from August 6 to 19, 2016.
There were two disciplines, artistic gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics, with a total of 18 events. The competition featured almost 300 gymnasts from 55 countries.
Gymnastics was one of the first sports to be included in the first modern Games in 1896.
